Creative Cosmetology introduces students to the beauty industry through hands-on learning, product creation, and skill development.
Throughout the 8-week program, students create beauty and self-care products while learning how to properly use, apply, or style with the products and techniques they explore.
Students also learn directly from cosmetologists, beauty entrepreneurs, and industry professionals who share their skills, career experiences, and real-world insight.
Each session gives students the opportunity to create, practice, ask questions, and explore different areas of the beauty industry.
Students make beauty and self-care products while learning about ingredients, formulation basics, product purpose, and the creative process behind beauty products.
Students learn practical, age-appropriate cosmetology techniques such as natural hair care, braiding, sleek ponytail styling, and simple beauty application.
Cosmetologists, beauty entrepreneurs, and professionals lead demonstrations and share real-world knowledge from their area of expertise.
Students are introduced to careers and business opportunities within hair, makeup, beauty products, and beauty entrepreneurship.
Students develop new skills through guided practice and hands-on experiences in a supportive learning environment.

Creative Cosmetology is available to two schools per semester to support program quality, hands-on instruction, and participation from beauty industry professionals.
